Here is a short list of due date reminders for tax filings. Some of this information is very recent.
Federal
- Calendar year-end individual tax returns are now due 15 July 2020 (instead of 15 April 2020)
- 1st quarter 2020 estimated tax payments are now due 15 July 2020 (instead of 15 April 2020)
- 2nd quarter 2020 estimated tax payments are STILL due 15 June 2020
- Penalties and interest are waived when complying with these new deadlines
Kentucky
- Calendar year-end individual tax returns are now due 15 July 2020 (instead of 15 April 2020)
- st quarter 2020 estimated tax payments are now due 15 July 2020 (instead of 15 April 2020)
- 2nd quarter 2020 estimated tax payments are STILL due 15 June 2020
- Tangible personal property returns are now due 15 July 2020 (instead of 15 May 2020)
- Penalties and interest are waived when complying with these new deadlines
Economic Assistance
- Economic Impact Payments will be sent to households in the near future. The IRS will process payments based on 2019 and 2018 return data. If you did not file during those two years, you can receive an Economic Impact Payment by filing a very short Economic Impact Payment (EIP) Return.
- Lenders began accepting Payroll Protection Program (PPP) loan applications on Friday, 3 April 2020.
- The Small Business Administration began accepting Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) applications on its website last week.
