After twenty years of managing financial and operational affairs for private businesses, J. Todd Renner decided to capitalize on his small and medium-sized entity (SME) and nonprofit expertise and launched Woodford Financial. Todd provides accounting, tax, and financial management services to SME’s and nonprofits to further develop their businesses and take them to the next level. Working in SME and nonprofit environments has allowed the firm to gain expertise in many areas of organizational management including finance and accounting, human resources, contract negotiation, mergers and acquisitions, internal control development, fraud detection and prevention, sales and marketing, tax minimization and compliance, and technology implementation. He expanded his practice to encompass investment advisory and planning as integral to client financial strategies.
After graduating from the University of Maryland at College Park in 1991, Todd worked in public accounting and earned his CPA designation in 1993. He then moved into SME financial and operational management. Todd is also a Chartered Global Management Accountant reflecting his expertise in entity financial management and his familiarity with international financial reporting. He is a licensed Investment Advisory Representative and a Registered Representative with Cetera.
